IRF Global at the ITF’s 2025 Consultation with International Organizations

Under the leadership of ITF Secretary-General Dr. Young Tae Kim, the International Transport Forum (ITF)hosted its Annual Consultation with International Organizations on 27–28 January 2025. Held each year in advance of the ITF Summit in Leipzig, the meeting brought together a diverse group of global stakeholders to exchange perspectives and align priorities for the year ahead.

IRF Global was once again represented by our Founder and CEO, Nina Elter, as part of the international dialogue shaping the future of global transport policy.

This year’s consultation focused on the core theme of the 2025 ITF Summit — “Transport Resilience to Global Shocks”–  and provided a timely platform to discuss how transport systems can adapt to increasingly complex and unpredictable challenges.

In addition to preparing for Leipzig, participants also shared early input on the 2026 Summit theme: “Transport Resilience: Funding a Just and Green Transition,” alongside ideas for future research needs and knowledge collaboration.

As always, the consultation reaffirmed the value of open, cross-sector dialogue and the ITF’s role as a platform for inclusive global leadership.

We look forward to continuing the conversation in Leipzig, 21–23 May 2025. More on the ITF Summit can be found here.
